the trango 2 in the snow

aaron found a sweet deal on the trango 2, a four-season 2-man tent. so we took it out to practice setting it up in the snow.

here is aaron doing the manly job, digging a hole for the tent.

after over an hour this is what we came up with. the vestible area is big enough to put a third person under the rain fly.

this is the sun roof view. i'm holding back the tent screen and roof and the yellow and clear plastic you see is the fly, which was slowly collecting the snow that was falling.

this is our front yard view. you can see how big the vestible area is since we had our legs hanging outside the tent and our feet still didn't hit the end of the fly.

this is us, our little happy family, inside our new tent. it was cold and we were tired from all the work, but it was worth every moment. great fun.
