i had to let her cry in her crib tonight before bed time. i went in to be sure she was asleep when the crying stopped. she looked like an angel as she sniffled heavily in her sleep. i cried for her and all the tears she will shed as she grows up. tears that i wish i could cry in her place. i realized today that i won't be able to fix all her problems and comfort all her tender feelings. but she has all my heart and i hope that's enough for her to be ready to take on the world.
